FileZilla FTP Software Client

The following list is a brief introduction to the popular FTP software called FileZilla.  In this tutorial, we will show you how to connect to a server using the standard FTP protocol.

We'll quickly jump in to the connection process by using the "Quick Connect" bar at the top portion of the FileZilla screen.  The information in the screenshot image below may differ from the information provided to you by your web hosting provider.  In this tutorial we're using the following login information:

Host Address: domain.com
FTP Username: domain.com
FTP Password: password
FTP Port: 21

We've left the "Port" field blank, since by default FileZilla will use the FTP protocol which uses the standard port 21 as it's connection port number.  Now that all the information is correctly entered, click on the "Quickconnect" button.
